Find that spot where you don’t have any issues with air going into the mic and your audio doesn’t sound muffled as if you were talking from behind a closed door. I think show notes are one of the most valuable aspects of any podcast because they connect the listener with not only all of the resources you mentioned in the episode, but also with your website. That said there are plenty of times when I use 64kbps mono, most often when the episode is 45 minutes or longer, again to keep that file size friendly to the end user (everyone has different bandwidth limits, remember we are a global medium) and this reduces your file hosting costs.
