We found a cheaper alternative in the Transcend CFX600 card, much to the chagrin of many of our peers. This gives you a lot of flexibility and a range of up to 10 stops of ND filtration. GR8 job on this review Sebastian! We primarily wanted it as a gimbal camera, but also as B-cam to our C300 mkII, so we could work fast and capture twice as much footage with both of us shooting. Plus, it’s powered by the camera, so there are no batteries to deal with. Where capturing RAW would typically require external recorder/monitor accessories, it’s a theoretical breath of fresh air to have internal RAW recording. And now that the XLR inputs are in the camera body, you can pair the C200 with the external monitor/recorder of your choice, without building up an excessively complex interview rig. Still, keep in mind that this C200 review reflects my subjective opinion, derived from my own experience and shooting style. Thanks for a great review! Canon C200 Review – The Shooting Experience RAW was what most people were interested in regarding the Canon C200. But the Canon C200 is a game changer in that regard, and a clear sign that will challenge the competition. I love that the off-speed rate is full S35 – unlike the C300II which has a huge crop factor. So for the rest of us documentary and corporate shooters who prefer everyday workhorse media, like HD at 10-bit 4:2:2 - the C200 still doesn't compete with the C300 mkII, even though they share the same CMOS sensor. Canon C200 Review – Dynamic Range Observation. It's no secret that we're big fans of Canon Cinema EOS cameras here at Digital Filmmaker. Nothing wrong with the GH-5 and it’s specs are amazing for a $2k stills camera that shoots video. One battery lasted for more than 2 hours. With the C200, you have to be a lot more careful with getting everything right. For commercial shoots and music videos, slow motion is often used the majority of the time.
